Since Lauki juice is Alkaline in Nature you can consume this amazing weight loss juice anytime you wish. Having said that, I have found that when Lauki juice is consumed in morning in an empty stomach it gives the best possible output.
When we sleep for 8 hours our body goes to fasting mode and when you wake up the acid levels are at its peak.
Therefore consuming Lauki early morning on empty stomach neutralizes the acidic state. This just activates or stimulates the whole digestive system.
Regular consumption of Lauki early morning ignites the metabolism and strengthens the digestive system.
While Lauki consumption is good. The worst time to consume Lauki juice is at night.
Lauki juice can cause cold if it’s consumed at night. Those suffering from Sinusitis, asthma and chronic cold should avoid Lauki juice at night.

I will show you how to make Lauki kofta without a drop of oil, this Zero Oil recipe will not only help you to lose weight but also reduce your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Remember, Lauki and Oil do not go well with each other since Lauki repels oil i.e. when you consume Lauki it acts as a fat burner.
To make Lauki Kofta you would need below ingredients
100 Grams Lauki
Half Cup chopped onions
Two spoonful Chickpea Flour (Besan)
Half cup Chopped tomato
Salt as per taste
¼ Spoon Turmeric powder
Chopped coriander leaves 1/4th cup
Half teaspoon red chili powder
Dried mango powder
7-8 chopped mint leaves.
Once you have the above ingredients ready start making Lauki kofta in 5 easy steps.
Step 1: Grate the Lauki and boil it.
Step 2: Take a non-stick tava or a pan and roast the besan (Chickpea flour) until its mild brown
Step 3: Put the besan in a bowl and let it cool down.
Step 4: Stew the water from the grated Lauki and mix the all the above ingredients together.
Step 5: Make it into small sized ladu’s
Step 6: Steam the Kofta followed by roasting it on Pan for few minutes.
Your 100% oil free Kofta is ready. You can mix this kofta in curry and serve it with Phulka or chapatti.
Lauki Chana Dal
Dal is a staple food here in India.
It becomes much healthier when fat burning food like Lauki is added.
You can make tasty oil free dal that not only burns fat but also gives you required amount of nutrition without sacrificing any taste.
To make Oil free Lauki Chana Dal you would need below ingredients.
Chana Dal – 30 Grams
Chopped onions – 30 grams
Red Chili powder – 1/4th Spoon
Grated Ginger – Approx. Half an inch
Lauki or Bottle gourd – 50 Grams
Garam Masala – A pinch of it
Finely Chopped Green Chili – 1 Qty
Jeera or Cumin Seeds – ½ tea spoon
Salt – As per taste
Chopped Tomatoes – 30 Grams
Turmeric Powder – 1/4th spoon
That’s all that you need to make Lauki Chana Dal.
Below is how you can make it in 7 easy to follow steps.
Step 1: Wash the Chana Dal thoroughly and soak it in half a cup of water for next 45 minutes.
Step 2: Peel the Lauki or Bottle gourd and cut it into even pieces (The Size of pieces depends on you, I prefer to keep it very small).
Step 3: Add Curry Leaves, Chopped onions, green chili, grated ginger and one teaspoon water in a cooker and roast it (Remember I said roast it and don’t steam it).
Step 4: Add the spices one by one i.e. Red Chili Powder, Turmeric powder and Garam Masala stir the mixture constantly and roast it until the Onions are mild brown.
Add water every time you think the masala’s are burning.
Step 5: Now Add the Lauki and Chopped tomatoes and cook it for next 2 – 3 minutes (Constant stirring needed).
Step 6: Once the masala’s are mixed well, add the Chana dal and mix it thoroughly for a minute or two.
Step 7: Add some water to it and steam the Dal up to 3 Whistles, Once the dal is cooked, stir it with the Dal Stirrer and garnish it with Coriander leaves.
This dal goes very well with Phulka (A type of chapatti that is made without a drop of oil.)
The secret to weight loss in this recipe is the oil content. You get the full nutritional benefit without consuming the carcinogenic oil.
Lauki ki sabji
Consuming Lauki ki sabji is an excellent thrice a week can give you remarkable results.
This recipe will help you to lose anywhere from 0.5 kilograms to 3 kilograms within a months’ time.
Again this will only work if you promise to give up your bad eating habits.
To make this Sabji let’s take a quick look at the ingredients.
Half of medium sized bottle gourd
Half teaspoon Turmeric powder, Red Chili powder, Coriander powder, Garam Masala powder
One pinch Hing
6 Cloves chopped garlic and half an inch chopped Ginger
One Chopped tomato
One Spoon Oil
Chopped coriander leaves
One Teaspoon Jeera
Once you have the above ingredients ready, you can make the bottle gourd sabji in 5 easy steps.
Step 1: Pre heat the pan
Step 2: Start by adding oil Once the oil is heated, put some Jeera and wait for it until it starts to crackle. Now add one pinch hing, stir it well wait for a while and then add chopped garlic and Ginger. Saute it until the Garlic is mild brown
Step 3: Add all your masala’s one by one Mix it well and sauté it until the masala’s are half cooked. Add some salt as per your taste.
Step 4: Now add Lauki and stir it well (Make sure the masala’s are mixed well). Cover it with lid for next 2 – 3 minutes
Step 4: Open the lid and add the chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves. Mix it well and cover it with lid Let it cook for next 3 – 5 minutes on low flame.
Step 5: Open the lid and stir the sabji.
Your weight loss sabji is ready to be consumed during breakfast or dinner.
Serve this sabji with phulka.
Lauki Pan Cake
You may have heard of Oats pancake and Atta pancakes but lauki pan cake?
Yes it’s true you can also make Lauki pancake.
Again this recipe is tailor made to help you lose weight. Instead of consuming regular roti’s or phulka try including Lauki Pancake frequently into your diet.
The plus point with this recipe is that it’s amazingly easy to make.
To make bottle gourd Pan Cake you would need below ingredients.
Half cup besan
4 Spoon Oil
250 grams Bottle gourd
salt as per taste
1 Spoon Ginger garlic paste
One spoon chopped green chilies

Ok, let’s make it in 4 easy steps.
Step 1: Finely Grate the Lauki.
Step 2: Mix the grated bottle gourd with Besan and above mentioned ingredients.
Step 3: Try to make a paste my adding water in small quantity.
Step 4: Preheat the Pan and add some oil to it. Once the oil is heated, start adding the besan and you can make it to any shape you want. Cook both the sides and you are done
Note: Over cooking will lead to Lauki bhajiya.
You might have consumed tomato soup and vegetable soup in the past. Guess what this recipe is 5 times more potent than those soups when it comes to weight loss.
