Keto Idli is a modified version of Standard Idli that is made using rice batter.

Idli is actually a south Indian dish but it’s popular across the country.
This super food is primarily prepared using rice batter therefore making it non keto friendly. Having said that there are tons of modifications that you can do with idli to make it nutritious and healthy.

Ingredients needed to make Keto Idli
- 5 Spoon Coconut Flour
- 1 Tablespoon psyllium Husk
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 100 gram Paneer
- 1 Spoon Curd
- Coconut Oil
- Flax seeds
How to make Keto Idli?
To make Keto Idli follow these three easy steps.
Step 1: Preparing the Batter
Put the Paneer in the Mixer Grinder and grind it fine
Now add the Psyllium husk, Baking powder Salt, Coconut Flour and all the remaining ingredients in the mixer grinder.
Give it a nice Grind and your batter should be ready.
Step 2: Let the batter settle down
Once the paste is ready cover it with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes or so.
Step 3: Preparing the Idli
Start making and Idli like shape from the dough you have prepared.
Put it in the Idli Cooker and cook it for 10 – 12 minutes.
Your Keto Idli is ready.
This dish is best served with Coconut chutney. Having said that try to avoid Sambhar as it adds extra calories and may not be Keto friendly.

Making coconut chutney
Once the Keto Idli is ready its not time to make the coconut chutney.
To make your coconut chutney you would need below ingredients.
- One Cup Fresh Coconuts
- 4-5 Curry Leaves
- 2 Teaspoon Coconut oil
- 3 Tablespoon curd
- 2 – 3 Green Chillies
- 2-3 Dried Red chilli
- Half cup coriander leaves
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
- Half an inch of Ginger
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tablespoon Roasted Chana Dal
- One Teaspoon Urad Dal
- Pinch of Asafetida
- Pinch of Turmeric powder for Tadka
Once you have the above ingredients ready make your keto friendly chutney in 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Prepare your chutney
Start by adding Chopped coconut, curry leaves, Green chillies, Salt, Roasted Chana Dal, Curd, Ginger, Coriander leaves and cumin seeds in a blender or mixer grinder.
Add little water and blend it thoroughly, make sure you make it like a smoothie.
Your chutney is almost ready.
Step 2: Make Tadka for your chutney
Take a pan or tadka pan and add 2 tablespoon coconut oil to it.
Heat the oil and start by adding mustard seeds.
Once the mustard seeds starts to crackle, add curry leaves, Pinch of turmeric powder, Asafoetida, Urad Dal and Dried Red chili.
Cook until the tadka starts to crackle.
Step 3: Mix Tadka with the Chutney
Your Keto Friendly chutney is ready to be consumed with Keto Idli
